Series LLC Bank Accounts

I have multiple properties in a Delaware Series LLC (don’t worry, the properties are in delaware). Each property has its own series, and each property has it’s own bank account, and record keeping. To avoid keeping too much cash in any one series, I want to open up “parent” bank account that can dole out dollars to each individual account/series as needed. Can I create one in the name of the overall entity that will be shielded from the liability in each series? Or should I make a new series/account with no properties that I can keep more cash in?

Keep up the great work!

Not an expert but here is something to research further and munch on. I’ve owned single member LLCs (SMLLC) for over 20 years. A SMLLC owner may be able to make a capital contribution at any time and you can keep track of your capital contributions and put in or take out as needed which is different than taking a draw. A draw is taxable income whereas your capital contribution/withdrawal is not. I don’t believe you need to add another LLC into the mix just to put back some more cash back into your property LLC in case it needs an infusion of cash. I asked Mark and Matt a few months ago and they recommended leaving about 3 months of expenditure cash in the bank account for each LLC to help maintain the corporate veil. If you constantly strip every penny out, a judge might rule against you for taking out too much and not really running a separate business with resources sufficient to be operated independently. Good luck. I hope these ideas help your research.
